SEND & Inclusion

Meadow Bank is a fully inclusive mainstream primary school which aims to ensure that all children fulfil their personal potential. At our school we celebrate differences and value the unique contribution of every member of our school community. We want every student to feel valued, heard and understood.

We believe in building and nurturing strong connections between school and parents/carers so that we can deliver the best possible learning experience for all children. By working together we have the best opportunity to tailor our teaching to meet the unique needs of each child and support continuous progress and development.

We recognise that some children may require a more individualised approach to learning in and this may be due to a host of reasons including Special Educational Needs (SEN) or a disability.

Children are identified as having Special Educational Needs and Disabilities when their progress has slowed or stopped and the interventions, resources and support put in place do not enable improvement. Once this occurs, we have specific needs based plans which help support a child's development and accelerate progress.

Our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) is Miss Higgins. Please get in touch with Miss Higgins via the school office if you have any questions.
